Dream Board: 8/3

I've had a thing for dream boards ever since high school. Although most pople update their boards once a year or so, I like to make mini boards on days when I need to add a little umpf to my life.

Today's board seems to have a common theme of cool, comforting colors, which I am really digging these days (I have on a turquoise necklace and lavender nails right now...).

Weekly Workout: Summer Shape Up!

Over the past few months, I’ve slowly become addicted to the gym—and it feels good! Monday was my first measurement in five weeks and it was SO motivating to see 13 inches gone in that time!

I do a little cardio every time I go to the gym before I switch over to weights. I have a love/hate relationship with the treadmill in that I tend to get bored easily. I’ve found that a good playlist is key in overcoming this obstacle.

Here is one of my favorite recent playlists! Instead of interval training at different minute marks on the machine, this list has you changing with each song to help you keep your eye off that clock!

DIY Day

Today has been a much anticipated DIY day and I am so happy to finally tackle some of these projects. 

The first project I plan on tackling is painting a chair to match my room. Simple enough, but as of now, it is turning into an all day project. Watching paint dry really isn’t much fun! 

The second project involves turning a silver zipper gold. I am SO nervous for this one! Finger, toes, and everything else are crossed that it turns out well!
