Dream Board--Destress

Life has had me on edge lately.  It seems my stress has multiplied now that I live alone. I feel as though I have so much more going on when, in reality, I don’t.

I've been working hard to find some serenity to emotionally take myself out of my anxiety driven life. The gym use to be my safe haven but, even now, it can be a stressor, too.

As I mentioned in previous posts, when I am feeling an extreme emotion, I like to create dream boards to recent myself. I think it’s funny how all of the pictures I chose seem to have calming hues in them—shows you exactly what I need right now!

What do you do to reduce the anxiety in your life?

Design Inspiration: Wicker

Confession: I love wicker. From bags to shoes to chairs and bins, it’s one of my favorite neutrals. I love the way wicker creates a natural texture in a room without being too bold (unless you want it to be!). Even more so, the way the sand shade contrasts with white makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.

As I am looking into moving into a new place, wicker seems to be a common inspiration in many of my favorite room designs. Here are some of my favorites!

An Afternoon at Chapel Hill

I know this a bit reverse from how my weekend went down, but I wanted to share some pictures from our adventure over to Chapel Hill on Sunday! Jay is an alumnus of UNC and I had never been to the campus so it was clearly on our “to do” list for my visit!

It was such a beautiful campus and had a very similar atmosphere to UF, which made me miss Gainesville a bit. I even bought my first Tar Heels shirt while we were there! The best part? UNC is in the ACC, so it would be a rare occasion that they would ever be up against my gators! Looks like I’m becoming a fan already…
