Monday Bunday?

If I've said it once, I will say it a million times--I am so lucky to have a casual work environment!! Because everything we do is electronic and all of our presentations are via webinar, the company's philosophy is to be as happy and comfortable as possible during the day!

Now, I have yet to go as casual as yoga pants, sneaks, a hat, etc (some of my colleagues do) because, even though it is a casual environment, I want to look somewhat presentable.

Monday's, however, tend my be my exception to the rule.

I realized this morning that for three Mondays in a row, I have worn my hair in a bun.

I started taking dance lessons at age 2, continued through high school, and did a bit of dance on the sorority team in college. Needless to say, a bun might be my hair's natural form. However, until recently, I was never OK with wearing my hair in a bun on the reg--at all!

Apparently I also believe buns go with scarves...

So, why the bun? The beauty of the bun is that, as a bun making pro, I can do my hair in less than two minutes in the morning, which means an extra 20 minutes to sleep in--necessary on a Monday. Clearly this trend was made for Mondays....

What are your thoughts on buns? I am curious!

Today's Pickins:
1. We sang this song in church yesterday and I have been in the best mood since! Look out for tomorrow's post, as the weekly message was VERY appropriate for me!
2.  A fun "Thank you" idea for those that pick you up!
3. "7 Ways to Stop Craving Junk Food"--perfect as we go into the holiday season!
4. I love fonts. And if I had an Ipad, I'd marry this app!

  1. Buns are my go-to whenever I'm too tired or lazy to fool with my hair (usually accompanied by yoga pants), mostly because my hair is a middle length that looks awkward in a pony tail. Plus they make it look like you at least tried haha
    Loooove all your scarves! :)

  3. My hair has been in a ponytail for like two straight weeks because of laziness! I agree that updos look good with scarves!

  4. When my hair went curly on me as I hit puberty I spent the entirety of middle school with my hair in a bun (and a terrible pink north face). Now, I like to wear it in a bun when it gets too out of control, or hot. But I try to wear it in a pony instead, sometimes lazy wins over and the bun gets the pick.

    1. oh my gosh, curly girls unite! I blow my hair out so that it doesn't get too crazy! I'm lucky because it will do whatever I want it to, but it takes time!

  5. My hair is super-curly, so it looks terrible up, unless it's straightened! I'm loving the bun and scarf look, though!
