One of my favorite trends is back in action this spring! In case you couldn't guess from reading the title, I LOVE maxi skirts!
Because, in it's own way, a maxi skirt can seem like a big and/or overwhelming piece, I've decided to debunk the mythical idea that maxis are hard to style.
I decided to use the Target skirt shown above in three different looks. That's right, one skirt done three ways. BOOM.
The first look is for the easy-going girl. This look takes little-to-no effort to put together yet is comfy and trendy when running around. A strappy sandal and basic tank are a great go-to with any maxi.
The second look is inspired by another favorite trend--colorblocking! This trend is the perfect excuse to be bold with your look. For a fun addition, later this look with a printed scarf that brings out the bright color palette.
The last look is a bit unexpected,...just like the girl wearing it. I love the hard look of a feminie rock goddess and think a flowy maxi skirt is a great way to achieve this look. Layer a band tee with vintage/ thrifted leather or denim to achieve a more authentic look.
Be on the look out for maxi skirts as brands continue to roll out their spring fashion collections! And remember, these gems are not just a one note piece!

ReplyDeleteI've had this maxi it in my virtual cart for days. I did buy two maxi's like this, but this color is so adorable. I LOVE the second style and of course the 3rd, but that's because I pretend I am much edgier than I really am. ha!
