May Challenge: Days 12-14

Day 12, SundayWhat do you miss? (a person, a thing, a place, a time of your life...)

I miss my second year of college. A bit particular and yet, oh so random, but I think that year was one of the most fun times of my life so far. When I think of a time where I had my shit together, that was it. Such a genuinely fun and happy period in my life.

Day 13, MondayIssue a public apology. This can be as funny or as serious or as creative as you want it to be.

Dear men without a college degree that hit on me,

You might think you are smarter than me without that little piece of paper, but let me tell you something—you’re not. In fact, I came to that conclusion long before you opened your mouth, which also did not help your case.

Anyway, my mother always taught me that as a smart girl, I should have ambitions to marry someone just as smart, if not smarter, than me. And you see, marrying you would mean I am not giving myself enough credit and we can’t have any of that up in here.

Sincerely,
Miss “That Little Pieces of Paper Really Does Matter”

P.S. Go Gata.

Day 14, Tuesday: Ten things that make you really happy

1.        My family
2.        My dogs

Oh, How Pinteresting!

I wanted to write a fun post for tonight featuring my love for my Alma Mater, The University of Florida! Louisville is GATOR BAIT tonight in the Sugar Bowl and I can't wait to watch with friends and family.  Today's pins are all inspired by my Gator Pride.

Happy to be linking up once again! A big congrats to the host, Michelle, on her new baby boy!

Transitioning to Fall Gameday

With the fall weather finally starting to kick in, it's time to transition our gameday wear from "what will I look OK sweaty in" to "what will keep me warm but cute".

One of my biggest pet peeves about the transitioning weather in Florida is the lack of care put into cold weather gameday style. With the common excuse being that we only get about two games or so of this weather, my current mission is to update a favorite fall dress in my wardrobe to fit in for these few weeks.

I wear the bejeezus out of my Lilly Pulitzer Cassie dress in navy and white stripes. It's comfy and cute and easy to wash. WIN!

As a Gator, my mission is now as simple as finding orange jewelry. So far, here are the cute pieces I have been able to find online:

My favorite of the accessories has to be the necklace in the bottom right, found at Macys! I also love the idea of a scarf for later months and a necklace for earlier months.

The best part? I already have the boots and dress in my closet, so adding a necklace isn't a big.

Happy Gameday, NCAAF lovers and happy shopping to me! woo woo!

How do you change your style for fall gamedays?

Today's Pickins:
1. Chocolate and sprinkle dipped Peeps are fun way to add pop to a favorite treat!
2. This DIY Mask is one of the coolest I've seen! A perfect last minute costume, too!
3. Stella & Dot's Bryan Park Scarf in Poppy has me lusting right about now.

…Our Love Shall Never Fail

I am bursting at the seams in excitement for this weekend! I can’t wait to head up to Gainesville for the first game of the season! I have missed the town and my sisters greatly and can’t wait to be “home” again.

Growing up, Florida football was a tradition I came to love and cherish. As the product of two UF alumni, the orange and blue flows through my veins! It is so amazing to see everyone at the games, from the 85 year old college sweethearts to the infants of parents that can only dream of the day their kid is a Gator, Florida football is something that we all share in.

One of my favorite recent traditions is when all of the players run to the student side/ band at the end of the game and everyone joins together singing the Alma Mater! Seriously, Y’all, I teared up when we sang the Alma Mater to close graduation!

Neath the orange and blue victorious,
our love shall never fail.
There's no other name so glorious,
all hail, Florida, hail!

What are your favorite college football traditions?

First Day of School. Oh, Wait....

Today should be my first day of Senior Year. I can't believe I am sitting at my cube, working a big girl job and not  rolling out of bed at 9:30 to get ready in the Sigma Kappa bathroom.

I am sad. Probably won't make a real post today...
